The Cristal Baschet was created in 1952 by the Baschet brothers, artists who specialize in the creation of “sonorous sculptures. It is made of chromatically tuned glass rods linked to a heavy block of metal via metal stems. When rubbed with moistened fingers, these rods produce vibrations, amplified by large sheets of metal. The Spiegelau glasses were sampled in all their various percussive and sustained possibilities. The library will be available in the first quarter of 2010.
